I started out on 420's with my college sailing club. Last summer, I crewed from the San Juan's to Juneau AK, last summer where I now currently live. This summer I've sailed on several boats in Southeast Alaska, including a three day race. I also bought a 17' day sailer this summer, and have had a blast on it. All in all I have well over 6 weeks of sea time. I'm available Oct 1st through mid November. I'm hoping to head south down the coast with a fun and reliable sailboat. I'm 24, super low maintenance, easy-going, and I can cook! I would be a great addition to any crew. Over the past 2 years I have been on the foredeck, mast and jib/main trim 2 handing a Santana 20, in season 2 - 3 times per week mostly in a bay, with a couple of ocean races. I have raced (less frequently) on a Catalina 30 in South Bay, grinding and trimming the jib sheet (and filling in elsewhere as needed). I am looking for a boat that wants to do distance cruises or races (newport to encinada, coronados, out to catalina) ultimately competing in a Trans Pac or crossing the pacific. I've spent a year in Canada snowboarding - living the dream!! Then a year in NZ, hitch hiking and travelling. I am a mature 21 year old! I'm currently in the UK (south west) but will be flying out to San Diego soon. If I can't get a ride there then i'll journey down to Panama and hopefully get lucky! I love meeting new people and a keen learner. I have very little sailing experience other than a few days on Vancouver Island. My interests are mostly creative, music - i play drums/guitar, art, photography, biking, snowboarding, hiking......all things fun!
